Jump – Start Your Car or truck Employing a Battery from the Drill

In this online video, we are wanting at the way to Jump-Start a vehicle using a battery from the drill.
It really is not the smartest factor to do, but it’s handy to know.
Existence it’s comprehensive of surprises. Visualize keeping at your good friends home, in the center of nowhere. You obtain out that your car’s battery has died. Sad to say, there are no car’s close to to ask for the Jump-Start.
Pushing is also not an possibility.
You have an essential conference that you are not able to skip.
What do you do?
Request if your good friend has a battery operated drill.
It might conserve your day.

As prolonged as the battery is billed and exact same voltage as cars and trucks battery, you might get fortunate.
Nicely, really the voltage can be larger, but I am not certain at what stage it becomes perilous to vehicle electronics.
My car’s battery is 12v and I utilised 12v battery from a drill.
I consider that a drill with 14 or 16v would be safe to use, but It really is just my consider, not a reality.
If anyone is aware, please sense no cost to educated me in responses.

This trick will perform the best with compact cars and trucks, compact vehicle batteries.
Battery are not able to be fully dead, or else it’s not gonna perform.

In the online video, I connected both equally batteries collectively. That way, the compact battery was charging the large 1. I only billed it for eight minutes. Clearly, my car’s battery was dead-ish not fully dead.
Which is why I was capable to do it.
Warning: Use this online video information at your personal risk.

Well, if that didn't work I guess you'd just have to put that car in your pocket and walk home.

Just be careful… thats a 12V battery so its fine but most drills are 18v. If you hook that up to your car you run the risk of overvolting and blowing some electronics in your car. Most things will have voltage regulators, the ECU will be fine etc. But lights and stuff could blow.

Another simple hack. works with manual cars mainly.
Jist jack your car up, put it on 3rd, and loop a rope 4 or 5 times around tire where the diff is located, pull the rope as hard as u can and BOOM.

Avoid this if your drill batteries have "li-ion" written on them. If you pull too much current from a lithium ion battery it can burst into flames.

just a tip dont hook the negative jumper cable directly to the battery you want to hook it some place like the engine hoist or a metal part of the engine

On a small car under the right circumstances and conditions it will work, even better with 18v. Granted you're not going to crank over a 1975 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in January in Burlington, VT with this..
